Job summary

Abacus Technology Corporation is seeking an installer to support LAN and fiber cable systems within a federal contractor environment. You will prepare and install connectors, run continuity and fiber tests, and assist with documentation.

Requires 1+ year experience with copper/fiber networks, ability to read drawings, lift up to 30 pounds, work indoors/outdoors, and US citizenship. Applicants will undergo a government security review.

Qualifications

• 1+ year experience installing and maintaining copper and fiber cables for voice and data networks.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings including infrastructure design and splicing diagrams.
• Familiar with test equipment and cable testing procedures; capable of safe handling and lifting up to 30 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and install connectors for LANs and automated communications systems.
• Utilize LAN testers, fiber testers, and continuity testers to verify installations.
• Create and maintain documents supporting the communication systems.
