Job summary

Abacus Technology Corporation is seeking a Maintenance Trades Helper to provide telecommunications support for Joint Base Charleston. This full-time position involves installing and maintaining copper and fiber cables for voice and data networks, with duties that include testing, documentation, and coordination with multiple departments to ensure system integrity.

Qualifications

1+ years experience installing and maintaining copper and fiber cables for voice/data networks.
Familiarity with LAN/WAN and telecommunication networks.
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings including infrastructure designs.

Responsibilities

Prepare and install connectors for LAN and automated communications systems.
Utilize test equipment such as LAN testers, fiber testers, and other continuity testers.
Create and maintain database, and modify program contents to provide for new data; experience with office systems preferred.
Coordinate with other departments to perform maintenance tests and interface with equipment.
Review, update, and generate documents supporting the communication systems.
