Job summary

Dell Inc. is seeking a Network Automation Engineer for a Federal Customer in Chantilly, VA. This on-site role requires active TS/SCI clearance and focuses on automating deployment and support of critical network infrastructure including switches, routers, and firewalls.

You will work with a diverse team to design, deploy, and maintain scalable networks, using Python or Go and tools like Ansible, Terraform, and network REST APIs. Expect collaboration across teams and rapid problem solving.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience deploying and troubleshooting large-scale enterprise WAN architectures.
• Hands-on with SD-WAN platforms and centralized policy enforcement.
• Proficiency in automating network configurations using Python and Ansible.
• Experience with network REST APIs, NETCONF/RESTCONF, and data formats (JSON/YAML/XML).
• Secure transport across WANs including IPsec/MACsec and QoS considerations.

Responsibilities

• Create and implement changes through automation.
• Deliver simple, sustainable, and repeatable network solutions.
• Operate and troubleshoot routing, interconnectivity, platforms, and configurations.
• Maintain standards across networking toolsets and policies.
• Support fast rollout of new designs and products with Network Architect.
