Job summary

Dell seeks a Network Automation Engineer – Federal Customer for Chantilly, VA. This on-site role requires active TS/SCI clearance. You will perform network and systems operations, automate changes, and deliver repeatable solutions.

You’ll troubleshoot routing, interconnectivity and performance, collaborating with the Network Architect on new designs and tooling. The ideal candidate is proficient in Python or Go, familiar with networking protocols and APIs (Open vSwitch preferred) and VLAN

Qualifications

• Proficiency in Python or Go for automation and tooling.
• Experience with networking protocols and APIs (Open vSwitch preferred).
• Understanding of network topologies and VLANs; ability to reason about interconnectivity and performance.

Network Automation Engineer – Federal Customer (Chantilly, VA)(on-site 5 days per week: TS/SCI Clearance Required) Please note: Candidates without existing Required Clearances will be auto declined.

Network Development Engineers perform high-quality network and systems operations, deployments, scaling, technology refresh, sustaining engineering, best practices applications, optimization, internal/external customer interactions, and produce appropriate technical documentation.

• Create and implement changes through automation
• Deliver simple, sustainable, and repeatable solutions and processes
• Operate and trouble-shoot network routing, interconnectivity, platforms, performance, and configuration issues; including low level application interaction, rk Border and everything in between
• Work closely with the Network Architect to ensure fast, smooth roll-out of new designs and products, as well as assist with deployment and sustaining of network infrastructure and tooling
• Proficient in either Python or Go programming language
• Experience working with networking protocols and APIs, ideally Open vSwitch and/or any RESTful APIs for network devices and services
• Proficient in network topologies and architecture (VLAN
