Job summary

Gromelski and Associates, Inc. (GAI) seeks a Network Architect in Manassas, VA to design, develop and troubleshoot advanced networks. You will work on Kubernetes-based platforms, CNI plugins, ACL optimizations, and multi-subsystem network integration.

The role requires analysis of VLANs, routing, and packet capture tools, with collaboration across customers, developers, and support programs. A DoD clearance ability is preferred.

Qualifications

• Experience with Kubernetes.
• Experience with Container Network Interfaces (CNI) technologies such as Calico, Cilium, Flannel, Canal.
• ACLs knowledge required.
• Network integration for a variety of network protocol standards.
• Experience analyzing VLANs, spanning-tree, routing, ACLs, IP addressing and subnetting.
• Familiarity with Wireshark or network sniffers.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate dual CNI plugins to support MTU sizing in a PaaS environment.
• Migrate to a 10.CCE for the PaaS network while reducing ACLs.
• Evaluate need of applications using Broadcast on VxLAN.
• Perform network engineering in support of NWG IPT.
• Monitor, maintain and analyze network performance and failures.
• Interface with customers, developers and support programs for optimal communications.
• Design network specifications and schematics for multi-subsystem architectures.
• Evaluate hardware/software selections to meet current and future capacity.
