Job summary

Modern Technology Solutions, Inc. seeks a Network Architect to design and implement enterprise-grade network solutions at Wright-Patterson AFB, OH. The role requires 5+ years of experience and active TS/SCI clearance.

You'll work across multi-vendor environments (Cisco, Juniper, Palo Alto) with expertise in OSPF, BGP, DMVPN, and security architectures. Travel within CONUS up to 25% may be required. A BS in a technical field and CCNP/JNCIP-ENT or equivalent certifications are preferred.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of network architecture experience
• Experience designing cloud infrastructure in networking
• Strong understanding of TCP/IP, routing, and firewall architectures
• Experience in multi-vendor environments (Cisco, Juniper, Palo Alto)
• Experience with OSPF, BGP, DMVPN, and network fabrics
• Familiarity with network tools: Ansible, Wireshark, NetFlow/IPAM/SDN
• Linux experience; version control familiarity is a plus
• Ability to communicate complex solutions to technical and non-technical staff
• Self-motivated with strong ownership

Job description

MTSI is seeking a full-time Network Architect located at Wright-Patterson AFB, Ohio.

TRAVEL WITHIN CONUS MAY BE REQUIRED UP TO 25%.

Responsibilities

• Must have 5+ years of experience
• Experience with Cloud infrastructure design in a networking capacity.
• Expert Knowledge of TCP/IP, spanning-tree architecture, subnetting architecture, routing protocols and routing system architecture and design, access control lists, wireless, VPN architecture, network access control architecture, and firewall architecture.
• Experience in a multi-vendor environment, with the ability to transfer network configurations and concepts from one vendor to another. Desired vendor experience in Cisco, Juniper, and Palo Alto firewalls.
• Extensive configuration and system design experience with OSPF, BGP, port-channels, firewalls, network fabrics, and DMVPN.
• Network tools including but not limited to: Ansible, Wireshark, Network Management Systems, Network configuration management, sflow/NetFlow, IPAM, and SDN.
• Linux experience.
• Version control system experience.
• Git familiarity a plus.
• Ability to communicate complex network solutions to technical and non-technical employees.
• Self-starter with a strong sense of personal responsibility.

Education:

• Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science, Information Assurance, Information Security Systems Engineering, or related fields
• Desired Certifications: CCNP, JNCIP-ENT or similar

Clearance:

• Must hold an active TS/SCI Security Clearance
