Job summary

Piper Companies is seeking a Network Architect to join a leading defense and government services organization supporting mission-critical enterprise network environments. The Network Architect role is ideal for an experienced cleared professional with deep expertise in enterprise networking, automation, and data center technologies.

The Network Architect is a long term contract opportunity and requires you to sit onsite 5 days per week in Fort Meade, MD.

Qualifications

• Active TS/SCI security clearance.
• 8+ years of experience in network engineering, architecture, or related discipline.
• CCIE certification required; CCNP Data Center certification will also be considered.
• Hands-on experience with network automation tools and scripting languages, including Python and Ansible.
• Strong expertise in network architecture, enterprise design, data center networking, and client-facing consulting.
• Proven ability to provide technical leadership, mentor engineers, and communicate effectively with stakeholders.

Compensation for the Network Architect:

• Salary range: $170,000 - $200,000
• Full Comprehensive Benefits: Health, Vision, Dental, PTO, Paid Holiday and Sick Leave if Required by Law.
