Base pay range

$87.00/hr - $112.00/hr

• Pay Rate: $87.57 - 112/hr on W2
• Duration: 12+ Months (Extendable)
• Location: Remote

Overview:

• Client is looking for a Network Deployment and Operations Engineer with 10+ years of experience to join the Network Deployment and Support team.
• The role involves deploying, managing, and scaling large-scale IP and Optical network infrastructure in a data center environment.
• The ideal candidate will have a strong background in program management, process improvement, and technical expertise in advanced networking technologies.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities:

• Lead and execute deployment of IP and Optical network infrastructure in data centers and Points of Presence (POPs)
• Oversee large-scale network projects to ensure delivery on time, within budget, and to quality standards
• Collaborate with cross-functional internal teams and external vendors to ensure seamless network implementation and operations
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives and contribute to scalable network architecture designs
• Perform maintenance activities such as software upgrades, migrations, and hardware refreshes
• Document deployments, update asset management systems, and maintain accurate configuration records
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to deployment teams
• Support integration of new hardware and software platforms into production environments
• Participate in regional on-call rotations providing 24x7 operational support

Qualifications:

• 10+ years of experience in IP or Optical network deployment, operations, and support
• Proven track record of delivering large-scale network infrastructure projects successfully
• Strong technical expertise in IP or Optical networking protocols, architectures, and technologies
• Deep knowledge of routing and switching protocols: BGP, IS-IS, MPLS, RSVP-TE, VRRP, OSPF
• Understanding of foundational network protocols: TCP/UDP, DHCP, DNS, IPv4, IPv6
• Skilled in structured cabling, fiber-optic infrastructure, and data center network design
• Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with experience making data-driven decisions
• Ability to manage multiple high-priority projects in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision

Must-Have Skills:

• Experience in network design, deployment, and operations
• Expertise configuring and troubleshooting BGP, IS-IS, MPLS, RSVP-TE, VRRP
• Strong program management and process improvement skills
• Excellent communication, attention to detail, and a collaborative mindset

Nice-to-Have:

• Experience working in a Big Tech environment
• Hands-on experience with multi-vendor network hardware and tools
• Familiarity with automation frameworks and scripting for network operations
