Job summary

DBPR seeks an experienced Network Architect to provide architectural guidance, engineering support, and technical execution for the department's enterprise network infrastructure. The role requires onsite work at the DBPR headquarters in Tallahassee, Florida.

The incumbent will design, implement, monitor, and secure LAN/WAN/WLAN environments, collaborate across teams, and mentor junior staff. Strong troubleshooting, scripting, and DR/HA experience are essential.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of enterprise IT support with strong networking.
• Hands-on experience with LAN/WAN/WLAN, Cisco & Juniper switches, Kemp/F5 load balancers, and SAN.
• Strong knowledge of network security, including ACLs, firewalls, proxies, mail gateways, Palo Alto NGFW, and Cisco IronPort.
• Experience with POTS, PRI, SIP Trunks, cloud networking, and hybrid connectivity.
• Cisco Collaboration: UCM, UCCX, and Unity Connection.
• Knowledge of high availability, disaster recovery, network monitoring, troubleshooting, configuration, maintenance, and performance optimization.
• Experience with incident response, scripting/application design, and enterprise network support procedures.
• Strong analytical, communication, collaboration, and mentoring skills, with the ability to work effectively with technical teams, executives, vendors, and business stakeholders.
