Job summary

On-Demand Group (ODG) is seeking a Network Analyst to join our hybrid Minnesota team. The role involves designing and supporting enterprise networks, evaluating new technologies, and maintaining TCP/IP Ethernet infrastructure across facilities.

You will provide Tier 3 support and assist with upgrades, ensuring rapid response to incidents. The position requires a degree or equivalent experience, strong communication, and the ability to lift up to 40 pounds.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Associate’s degree in MIS, CS, or related field.
• Four years of experience providing technical TCP/IP Ethernet network support (500+ nodes) and configuring routers/switches/firewalls.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively with others to troubleshoot problems and create procedures.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and recommend new technologies for the enterprise.
• Install, maintain, configure, test, troubleshoot and resolve network issues (routers, switches, firewalls).
• Support and administer TCP/IP Ethernet networks.
• Assist with software/hardware upgrades and distribution.
• Provide technical tier 3 support to staff as needed.
• Provide 24/7 network support including onsite response and troubleshooting.
• Respond to network users and pages within one hour of receipt.

Mandatory Skills

• Bachelor’s or Associate’s degree in MIS, Computer Science or a related field
• In lieu of a degree, four years of experience providing technical support for TCP/IP Ethernet networks (with a minimum of 500 nodes in a Microsoft Windows environment) and experience configuring and installing routers, switches and firewalls.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Demonstrated skills in working effectively with others both individually and in groups to troubleshoot problems, create procedures and provide technical support
• Ability to lift, carry and position up to 40 pounds
• Valid state issued driver's license
• Reliable to vehicle to commute between job sites

Desired Skills

• MSE certification (network)

• Experience with multicast routing
• Experience with large SCADA installations (building automation systems)
