Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in IT field with 2 years of related experience.
• Or Associate degree with CCNA and 2 years experience.
• Or CCNA certification with 4 years experience.
• Or N+ certification with 4 years experience.
• Extensive understanding of Microsoft server OS, Cisco LAN/WAN/WWAN networking, and Cisco UC.

Responsibilities

• Maintain continuous reliability of the technical infrastructure by monitoring and maintaining servers and networks.
• Approach problems analytically, using good judgment and technical knowledge.
• Maintain and validate all backups and ensure backup integrity.
• Evaluate and apply patches to fix security vulnerabilities.
• Maintain network documentation and support information security policies.
• Provide security risk analysis and monitor network/server logs.
• Provide backup support for technical staff and knowledge transfer.
• Manage projects as assigned by the Technology Manager.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

JOB SUMMARY:Coordinates and maintains all network hardware, software, and peripherals. Provides technical support for hospital servers and associated hardware. Actively monitors the network and server infrastructure to proactively address potential problems before they become an issue. Ensures the reliability and integrity of the hospital’s backup and disaster recovery processes.JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:Provides for continual reliability of the technical infrastructure by monitoring and maintaining servers and networksApproaches problems analytically, using good judgment, common sense, and technical knowledge when problem solving.Maintains all system backups. Ensures the integrity of the backup and periodically validates backup processPromptly evaluates and applies patches to correct known security vulnerabilitiesMaintains network documentationAssist in the development of information security policies, and technical proceduresProvides security risk analysis of the hospital networkMonitors network and server logs and takes appropriate action as necessaryProvides backup support for all technical staffContributes to the productivity and efficient operation of the department through skills transfer, continued professional growth and self-education of new technologies.Manages projects as assigned by the Technology Manager.Other duties as assigned.EDUCATION REQUIRMENTS AND OTHER REQUIREMENTS:Education Level:Bachelors of Science in an Information Technology related field with 2 years of experience orAssociates Degree in an Information Technology related field with a CCNA certification and 2 years of experience orCCNA (Cisco Certified Network Associate) certification or N+ certification with 4 years of work experience.Experience Requirement:Extensive understanding of Microsoft’s server operating systems, Cisco LAN/WAN/WWAN networking, and Cisco unified communications.
