Job summary

The Medical College of Wisconsin, Inc. seeks a Network Engineer II to maintain MCW’s LAN, WAN, VOIP, VPN, Internet and wireless networks in the Madison area.

You will install, upgrade, troubleshoot, and manage change requests while collaborating with the service desk, server, operations and application support teams to meet daily operational needs. 2+ years of networking experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Fundamentals of LAN/WAN, wireless and VOIP technologies.
• Strong written and verbal communication, technical writing.
• Experience with Cisco networking environments and upgrades.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and support MCW LAN/WAN, VOIP, VPN and wireless networks.
• Install, upgrade, troubleshoot and perform change management.
• Collaborate with service desk, servers, operations and applications teams.
• Provide network analysis, capacity planning and performance monitoring.
• Advise on network security and best practices.
