Job summary

Lone Star College System seeks a Network Administrator II, Converged to ensure the stable operation of the in-house computer network (LAN, WAN, wireless and VOIP/Video). This role plans, installs, configures, maintains, supports, and optimizes network hardware, software, and communication links across campuses and locations.

The position is part of a 24/7/365 global department and may involve installing new infrastructure, performing audits, and guiding junior staff.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and 3 years related work experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Intermediate certification in area of responsibility.

Responsibilities

• Designs and deploys LANs, WANs, and wireless networks and related hardware.
• Oversees upgrades and coordinates with vendors and contractors.
• Monitors performance, troubleshoots issues, and ensures security and backups.
