Job summary

Sigma Defense is seeking a Help Desk Network Administrator to join our team at Creech AFB. The role supports the Air Force in operating and maintaining MQ-9 communications and the related network architectures, including ACN and SPDN across external agencies.

Essential responsibilities include 24/7 help desk support, edge device updates, and detailed ticket documentation. Required certifications include Security+ or CCNA, with 3–5 years in a related role.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of Network Administration experience in a Help Desk environment.
• Security+, CCNA, or equivalent certification.
• Experience in network administration helpdesk is preferred.
• Prior military service is desirable.
• Ability to explain complex technical issues, provide step-by-step instructions, and document tickets/fix actions clearly.
• Ability to remain calm to de-escalate difficult situations.
• Ability to work effectively with team members to resolve issues.
• Must be a U.S. citizen.

Responsibilities

• Perform troubleshooting and elevate more complex issues.
• Act as the focal point for updating edge network devices and software in support of next generation remote split operations.
• Support a 24/7 help desk and document issues from local and remote customers.
• Monitor network for performance and integrity.
• Configure, maintain, and troubleshoot network devices.
• Provide 24/7/365 Tier 2 Help Desk support in a shift work environment.
• Conduct in-depth log analysis and root cause isolation.
• Troubleshoot layer 2 switching and layer 3 routing issues.
