Job summary

Sigma Defense is seeking a Help Desk Network Administrator to support MQ-9 communications and global network architectures at Creech AFB. Candidates will provide 24/7 Tier 2 support, document actions, and coordinate with multiple agencies. The role requires TS/SCI security clearance eligibility and U.S.

citizenship. Salary range is $90,000–$120,000 annually with comprehensive benefits including medical, dental, and 401(k) matching.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of Network Administration experience in a Help Desk environment.
• Security+, CCNA, or equivalent certification.
• Experience in network administration helpdesk is preferred.
• Prior military service is desirable.
• Ability to explain complex technical issues, provide step-by-step instructions, and document tickets/fix actions/summaries clearly.
• Ability to remain calm to de-escalate difficult situations.
• Ability to work effectively with team members to resolve issues.
• Ability to lift, carry, and install equipment weighing about 30lbs., heavier equipment as needed with team lift.
• Must be a U.S. citizen.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and escalate more complex issues.
• Act as focal point for updating edge network devices and software in support of next generation remote split operations.
• Support a 24/7 help desk and handle ticket creation and documentation.
• Deep understanding of BGP, EIGRP, and OSPF protocols; layer 2 switching, multicast routing, DMVPN, and IPSec.
• Monitor network performance and integrity.
• Configure, maintain, and troubleshoot network devices.
• Provide 24/7/365 Tier 2 Help Desk support in a shift work environment.
• Conduct in-depth log analysis and root cause isolation.
• Troubleshoot layer 2 switching and layer 3 routing issues.
• Monitor and troubleshoot multicast and firewall rulesets.
• Document activities in a master station log and ticketing database.
