Job summary

Oceans Healthcare seeks a Network Administrator to maintain and administer the organization's computer networks and related systems. The role emphasizes disaster recovery, data protection, and timely problem resolution in a healthcare environment.

Responsibilities include monitoring network performance, managing security, backups, and hardware replacements, with an opportunity to work across IT and clinical teams. Plano, TX-based, on-site role with travel may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in information technology, related field of study with a network engineering focus or equivalent education and work experience.
• Experience with Cisco Routing and Switching, SonicWall Firewalls, VOIP (RingCentral), SD-WAN (Talari), WAP (Ubiquiti), and virtualization technologies.
• Strong understanding of network infrastructure and hardware.

Responsibilities

• Maintains and administers computer networks and related computing environments including systems software, applications software, hardware, and configurations.
• Performs disaster recovery operations and data backups when required.
• Protects data, software, and hardware by coordinating, planning, and implementing network security measures.
• Troubleshoots, diagnoses, and resolves hardware, software, and other network and system problems.
• Replaces faulty network hardware components when required.
• Maintains, configures, and monitors virus protection software and email applications.
• Monitors network performance to determine if adjustments need to be made; confers with network users about solving existing system problems.
• Operates master consoles to monitor the performance of networks and computer systems; coordinates computer network access and use.
• Designs, configuring and tests networking software, computer hardware, and operating system software; documents network infrastructure.
