Job summary

BlueWater Federal Solutions, Inc. is seeking a Network Administrator/Engineer to support the DOE EHSS AICS program in Germantown, Maryland.

This role secures and maintains classified networks, servers, and related infrastructure, with emphasis on DevSecOps, Zero Trust, and vulnerability remediation across DOE environments. Qualifications include an active TS clearance with ability to obtain a Q clearance, a bachelor’s degree in IT (or 6 years experience in lieu), and 2+ years of

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or similar field; 6 years of experience can substitute.
• Active Top Secret clearance with ability to obtain a Q clearance.
• Minimum 2 years reviewing, analyzing, and modifying programming systems, including encoding, testing, debugging, and installation.
• Experience consulting users to identify operating procedures and objectives.
• Ability to write development, logic, coding, correction, installation, and operating documentation.
• Familiarity with relational databases, client-server, UNIX/Linux, Microsoft, and cloud; TACLANE/COMSEC desired.
• CCNA, CompTIA Security+, Azure Network Engineer Associate, or AWS Advanced Networking preferred.

Responsibilities

• Configure, administer, monitor, maintain, patch, upgrade, and secure classified network devices, servers, systems, applications, terminals, and peripherals.
• Review, analyze, and modify programming and operational systems, including coding, testing, debugging, installation, and issue correction.
• Consult users to understand operating procedures, clarify objectives, resolve access/performance issues, and provide technical assistance.
• Support databases, client-server, UNIX/Linux, Microsoft, cloud, virtualization, firewalls, encryption, and thin-client environments.
• Execute tests, support vulnerability scanning, remediate findings, and maintain configuration baselines and records.
• Review logs and support patches, antivirus, firmware, licensing, backups, accounts, incident restoration, and technical documentation.

Overview

BlueWater Federal is looking for a Network Administrator / Engineer to support the DOE EHSS Application, Infrastructure, and Cybersecurity Support (AICS) program

AICS enables secure, reliable, and data-driven operations across the DOE enterprise through application modernization, DevSecOps, Zero Trust implementation, continuous monitoring, and infrastructure sustainment supporting EHSS’s environment, health, safety, security, and classification missions.
