Job summary

Interclypse, Inc. in Maryland is seeking a Network Administrator to support the operation, performance and availability of data communications networks. This role focuses on LAN/WAN analysis, user account management and mail services, ensuring reliable network performance.

Candidates should have a bachelor’s degree in a related field and at least two years of experience with Ethernet, WANs and network operating systems. Onsite employment at Maryland locations is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in a related field.
• Minimum two years of computer-related experience.
• Advanced knowledge of network operating systems.
• Experience with data communications and network management.
• Familiarity with SNMP/RMON based tools.
• Knowledge of Ethernet, FDDI and high-speed WANs.

Responsibilities

• Analyze client LANs/WANs and propose improvements.
• Modify commands and startup files; participate in load balancing.
• Create new user accounts and grant access to network files.
• Manage network e-mail and mailboxes; monitor performance.
• Troubleshoot network/user problems and document resolutions.
• Prepare network resource reports.
