Interclypse, Inc. is seeking a Network Administrator to oversee LAN/WAN operations, troubleshoot issues, and optimize network performance onsite in Maryland. The role emphasizes hands-on management, user provisioning, and reporting.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering or a related field
Two (2) years of experience in a computer-related field
Advanced knowledge of network operating systems
1 year of experience in data communications/network administration or related areas
Experience with cable/LAN meters, protocol analyzers, SNMP and RMON based software products
Knowledge of Ethernet, FDDI and high speed WANs and routers

Responsibilities

Analyze client LANs/WANs, isolate problems, and propose reconfiguration and new hardware to improve performance
Modify startup files and device configurations, assist in load balancing for optimal utilization
Create new user accounts and grant access to network resources
Manage network email functions and mail performance monitoring
Troubleshoot network/user problems and propose resolutions for implementation
Prepare network resource reports
