Job summary

Core4ce is seeking a Network Administrator to design, install, configure, and support our network infrastructure. You will ensure compliance with industry and corporate standards, perform routine preventative measures, and help plan IT development projects and related work.

Qualifications

  • Secret clearance or eligible to obtain one within a reasonable time frame.
  • 1–2 years hands-on experience as a Network Administrator.
  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • 8570 IAT Level II Certification and CND Infrastructure Support planned within 6 months.
  • Solid understanding of firewalls, routers, switches, and network technologies including Palo Alto and Cisco.
  • Experience with LAN/WAN, VPN, IPS, DNS, SMTP, NTP, IMAP, and SNMP.
  • Proficient with packet capture and analysis tools (TCPDump, Wireshark).

Responsibilities

  • Plan and schedule installation of new or modified network hardware and systems.
  • Manage accounts and network rights.
  • Configure network hardware and software infrastructure including switches, routers, firewalls, hubs, bridges, gateways, and VMware devices.
  • Analyze and resolve faults from major outages to password issues.

Job description

Core4ce is looking for a Network Administrator to join the team. The Network Administrator will configure, install, and support network hardware and software infrastructure. The candidate will ensure that all network equipment complies with industry and corporate standards as well as conduct routine preventative measures and implement and maintain network security and ensure security compliance. This role will be responsible for the planning and implementation of future IT development projects and undertaking project work including project management duties.

Responsibilities
  • Planning and scheduling the installation of new or modified network hardware and systems
  • Managing accounts and network rights
  • Configures network hardware and software infrastructure including switches, routers, firewalls, hubs, bridges, gateways, and virtual devices in VMware
  • Analyzes and resolves faults, ranging from major system crash to a forgotten password
  • Ensuring systems availability, functionality, integrity, and efficiency; maintaining systems configuration
  • Managing the installation and integration of system fixes, updates, and enhancements
  • Ensuring the rigorous application of information security/information assurance policies, principles, and practices
  • Positions either on 1st, 2nd, and 3rd shift - the shift hours are 1st – 6:00 am to 2:30 pm, 2nd 2:00 pm – 10:30 pm, and 3rd – 10:00 pm – 6:30 am (the following day).
  • This position is for second shift with the potential to move shifts in the future.
Requirements
