Job summary

OC Sports & Entertainment, LLC, the driving force behind the Honda Center, seeks a Network Administrator in California to design, implement, and secure our enterprise network infrastructure. You will configure equipment, monitor performance, and enforce policies to ensure top reliability across venues.

The role requires extensive networking experience, Cisco/Extreme hardware knowledge, and security expertise with FortiGate and Azure networking.

Qualifications

  • Degree in Computer Science or related field or equivalent field experience.
  • Minimum of six years working in network administration.
  • Certifications: CCNA, CCSP, CCIE, Network+, Security+.

Responsibilities

  • Establish network specifications by conferring with users, analyzing workflow, access, information, and security requirements.
  • Evaluate network performance issues, including availability, utilization, throughput, and latency.
  • Plan and execute the selection, installation, configuration, and testing of network equipment.
  • Define network policies and procedures.
  • Maintain existing software and hardware and upgrade/replace any that have become obsolete.
  • Ensure that all network hardware/firmware is kept up to date.
  • Work closely with the Network Administrator to ensure that the highest network performance is being attained and that changes are analyzed and tested.
  • Ensure network security is at its highest level possible and monitor for vulnerabilities and attacks.
  • Advocate for new technologies and attend networking conferences and training.
  • Some travel to other sites required.
  • Perform other duties and projects as assigned

Pay Details

The annual base salary range for this position in California is $124,000 to $155,000 per year. The starting pay for the successful candidate depends on various job-related factors, including but not limited to the candidate's geographic location, job-related knowledge, skills, experience, education/training, internal value, peer equity, external market demands, and organizational considerations.

  • Perform other duties and projects as assigned
Qualifications
  • Degree in Computer Science or related field or equivalent field experience
  • Minimum of six years working in network administration
  • Applicable Certifications: CCNA, CCSP, CCIE, Network+, Security+
  • Excellent communication skills, written and oral
  • Strong collaboration and interpersonal skills
  • Outstanding time management and organizational skills, ability to prioritize and adapt to meet changing needs
  • Excellent follow-through skills, able to complete projects promptly
  • Self-motivated and eager to learn

  • Troubleshooting ability; able to logically work through various steps to resolve issues
  • Extensive knowledge of the following products/solutions: (1) Cisco and/or Extreme Networks hardware: datacenter/edge switches, routers, WLAN controllers, WAPs, (2) Azure Virtual Networking fundamentals and concepts, (3) Extreme Software: XIQ management suite, (4), Firewall concepts and management (FortiGate), (5), WAN configuration and management, (5), Remote access technologies (VPN/IPSEC), (6) Multicast networking/IGMP
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft solutions is required
  • Specific knowledge of the following products would be beneficial: (1) Active Directory 2016 and above, 92) Windows Server 2016 - 2022, (3) DHCP/DNS/WINS, and (4) DFS
  • Secondary knowledge in the following areas would be helpful: (1) SAN networking –Fibre Channel, iSCSI, (2) HP server and storage hardware – HP Proliant DL series, 3PAR SAN, Nimble SAN, MSA, (3) Virtualization technologies: VMware, ProxMox, (4) Microsoft Azure, Microsoft 365 products and cloud services
