Job description

• 10+ years of experience as a Network Administrator
• 5+ years of experience as a Senior Network Administrator
• Experience with at least one of the following technologies:
• F5
• VMware
• Hyper‑V
• Goal‑oriented, proactive team player with demonstrated ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast‑paced professional environment
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Critical thinker with strong problem‑solving abilities, capable of making independent decisions within area of responsibility and expertise

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Visio
• Working knowledge of PowerPoint and SharePoint

Key Responsibilities / Tasks

At a minimum, the consultant(s) shall perform the following:

• Develop standards, procedures, and documentation
• Devise and recommend short‑and long‑term plans for the development and enhancement of hardware and production systems
• Develop and enforce production standards and policies in coordination with the Senior Network Engineer and Database Administrator
• Facilitate communication and collaboration across IT units to build strong partnerships and support organizational objectives
• Maintain audit compliance with state requirements related to:
• User accounts
• Backup and disaster recovery
• Data center security
• Work closely with the Information Security Manager (ISM) to develop and enforce security standards and policies, including:
• NIST standards
• COBIT 5 framework
• Create and adhere to change management procedures for all network changes
