Job summary

Ziegler CAT is seeking a Network Administrator to install, configure, and support internal and external network infrastructure, including LAN, WAN, wireless, servers, storage, and VPN remote access. This is an on-site role in Bloomington, MN.

Responsibilities include monitoring network health, documenting changes, and assisting with complex projects. Requires a 2-year degree (4-year preferred) and 2 years of related experience, with a collaborative, detail-oriented approach.

Job description

Ziegler CAT has an opening for a Network Administrator who is responsible for installing, configuring, and supporting all internal and external network infrastructure including LAN, WAN, wireless, servers, storage systems, voice & data circuits, and VPN remote access. This position requires the ability to work onsite at our Bloomington, MN.

Responsibilities

• Maintain documentation related to network functions, as well as maintenance and repair records
• Monitor performance and availability of networks, servers, and other infrastructure equipment
• Administrator for all network and server equipment
• Monitor network and server health and performance
• Respond to intermediate level tickets
• Respond to trouble tickets timely
• Research new technology, and implement it or recommend its implementation
• Work in a cooperative manner with team, superiors, and other departments
• Provide support for internal customers through phone, email, or in person
• Configure, install, and support the following equipment: Routers and switches Server operating systems Communication lines including voice and data T1’s, analog lines, and internet service Perform data backups and disaster recovery operations Diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve hardware, software, or other network and system problems, and replace defective components when necessary
• Manage assigned new projects and program components to deliver services in accordance with established objectives
• Assist in the implementation of complex projects

Qualifications

2-year degree required; 4-year degree preferred, in technical field 2 years of related experience

The pay range for this position is $82,300.00 to $102,900.00 Starting wage is dependent on skills, experience, education and location. Pay range may vary by 10% depending upon the applicant’s location.
