Job summary

Patriot LLC seeks an experienced Network Administrator to join our mission-critical on-site team in Annapolis Junction, MD.

A current Active Secret clearance and US citizenship are required. Candidates must have 7+ years in network administration and 5+ years in network config/monitoring, firewall config (Palo Alto, Juniper), and network monitoring with SolarWinds and NetCool. The role requires on-call rotation and 24/7/365 uptime.

Qualifications

• Active Secret clearance required.

• 5+ years in network configuration and monitoring, firewall configuration, and monitoring tools.

Responsibilities

• Configure and maintain routers, switches, firewalls, load balancers, and VPN concentrators.
• Monitor network performance and optimize throughput and reliability.
• Troubleshoot using firewall logs and packet capture tools, collaborating with cross-functional teams.
• Plan capacity and bandwidth to support future growth.
• Integrate network with cloud services and storage systems.
• Stay updated on networking trends and recommend best practices.
• Create and maintain network documentation and SOPs.
• Provide technical leadership to junior engineers.
• Manage and secure networks and tenant segments for transport of networks and data.
• Organize delivery of network load balancing services.
• Document and manage IP addresses.

Patriot, LLC seeks an experience Network Administrator to join our mission essential on-site team in Annapolis Junction.

Requirements

• Active Secret clearance.
• Due to contract requirements, only US Citizens can be considered. Candidates with dual citizenship cannot be considered.
• Seven (7)+ years of experience in a Network Administrator role or in a related field.
• Five (5) or more years of experience in the following:
• Network configuration and monitoring.
• Firewall configuration – palo alto, juniper, etc.
• Network monitoring tools – SolarWinds and NetCool.
• Candidates must reside within a commutable distance for daily onsite work and on-call requirements.
• This contract supports systems that require 24x7x365 uptime. Candidates must be willing and able to meet recall requirements, including participation in a rotational on-call schedule.

Responsibilities

• Configure and maintain network devices such as routers, switches, firewalls, load balancers, and VPN concentrators.
• Monitor network performance, identify bottlenecks, and implement optimization strategies to ensure optimal throughput and reliability.
• Troubleshoot and resolve network issues using firewall logs, switch packet capture tools; engaging with cross-functional teams to leverage support and collaboration when necessary
• Conduct network capacity planning and bandwidth management to accommodate future growth and changing business needs.
• Collaborate with other teams to integrate network infrastructure with cloud services, storage systems, and other IT components.
• Stay updated on emerging technologies, industry trends, and best practices in networking and recommend their adoption as appropriate.
• Create and maintain documentation related to network configurations, diagrams, standard operating procedures, and troubleshooting guides.
• Provide technical leadership, guidance, and mentorship to junior network engineers.
• Managing, monitoring, maintaining, and securing networks and tenant network segments that integrate the transport of networks and data.
• Organizing, documenting, and managing the delivery of Network load balancing services
• Document and Manage Internet Protocol Addresses
