Job summary

Staffing Solutions of Hawaii, a DoD-focused technology team in Kihei, HI, seeks a Network Administrator to maintain secure networks and support critical infrastructure. You will configure Cisco devices, monitor environments, and coordinate with government stakeholders to ensure readiness.

Ideal candidates hold CCNA, a DoD 8140 IA certification, and a bachelor's degree (or equivalent experience). This full-time role reports to the team and requires on-site presence in Kihei.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or 7+ years of equivalent network experience.
• CCNA certification required; CCNP preferred.
• DoD 8140 IA workforce certification required.
• Experience with Cisco routers/switches/firewalls and ISE.

Responsibilities

• Configure, maintain, and troubleshoot Cisco devices and encryption gear.
• Support secure networks across multiple DoD networks.
• Maintain network monitoring tools (SolarWinds, Splunk, Puppet).
• Manage VoIP systems with CUCM and media gateways.
• Perform vulnerability management per DISA STIGs and IAVAs.
• Execute cryptographic rekeys for SIPRNet/JWICS.
• Support Windows and RHEL environments and UPS systems.
• Create documentation and collaborate with stakeholders.
• Respond to incidents and restore services within SLAs.

Staffing Solutions of Hawaii is seeking a Network Administrator to join a growing and dynamic team!

Job Description

• Configure, maintain, and troubleshoot Cisco routers, switches, firewalls, and encryption devices, including Taclane KG-175D/F/G.
• Support secure network environments across NIPRNet, SIPRNet, and JWICS LAN, MAN, and WAN infrastructures.
• Administer and maintain network management and monitoring tools, including SolarWinds, Splunk, Puppet, Cisco ISE, Cisco Prime, TACACS, and GEM X.
• Manage and support VoIP and VoSIP systems utilizing Cisco Unified Communications Manager (CUCM) and Cisco media gateway routers.
• Perform vulnerability management activities in accordance with DISA STIGs, IAVAs, TCNOs, and TCTOs.
• Execute cryptographic rekeys supporting SIPRNet and JWICS operations.
• Support Windows 11, Windows Server 2008/2022, and Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) environments.
• Maintain and monitor UPS systems supporting critical network infrastructure.
• Create and maintain technical documentation, diagrams, and compliance records.
• Collaborate with network administrators, cybersecurity personnel, and government stakeholders to ensure operational readiness and network security.
• Respond to incidents, troubleshoot outages, and provide timely resolution within established service-level agreements (SLAs).

Position Requirements

• Bachelor's degree and at least 5 years of network engineering or network administration experience; OR High school diploma/GED and at least 7 years of relevant network engineering experience.
• Advanced DoD 8140 certifications (IAM Level I, II, or III) may substitute for degree requirements.
• Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) certification required.
• Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) certification preferred.
• Current DoD-approved Information Assurance (IA) workforce certification in accordance with DoDM 8140.03 required.
