Selby Jennings is partnering with a national insurance organization to identify a Network Administrator who will play a key role in managing and securing both on-premises and cloud-based network infrastructure. This is a hands-on opportunity for a technically skilled professional to support critical systems and drive network performance across a multi-site enterprise environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Manage and monitor on-premises and cloud-based network infrastructure to ensure optimal performance and availability.
Configure and maintain Palo Alto firewalls, Cisco and Meraki switches, routers, and wireless access points.
Implement network security best practices and enforce cybersecurity policies.
Maintain network segmentation, VPN access, and compliance with frameworks such as NIST, ISO 27001, and CIS.
Configure and secure cloud networking environments (AWS, Azure, or similar).
Collaborate with IT teams to support servers, wireless networks, and cloud integrations.
Maintain accurate network documentation and follow formal change control procedures.
Respond to and resolve network outages or security incidents.
Develop and test network backup, recovery, and failover plans.
Provide tier-3 network support to helpdesk and IT staff.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience).
3+ years of hands-on network administration in enterprise or multi-site environments.
Strong understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, routing, and switching.
Proven troubleshooting skills and experience resolving complex network issues.
Familiarity with monitoring tools (e.g., SolarWinds, Nagios, PRTG).
Experience with cloud networking (AWS, Azure, or similar).
Understanding of security best practices and compliance frameworks.
Strong communication skills and ability to work across teams.

Preferred Skills & Certifications:

Palo Alto certifications (e.g., Network Security Professional or Cybersecurity Practitioner).
Cisco certifications (e.g., CCNA, Meraki CMNA).
Experience with deep packet inspection and traffic analysis (e.g., Wireshark).
Basic scripting and automation experience (Python, PowerShell).
Experience integrating network security appliances and wireless access points.
