Job summary

Centuria seeks a Network Administrator to join the 19 SDS program at Dahlgren, VA. The role is 100% on-site in a SCIF environment requiring a TS/SCI-eligible candidate and IAT Level II certification.

Responsibilities include maintaining LAN/WAN networks, implementing security controls, and supporting NIPRNet/SIPRNet operations. The ideal candidate will have 3–5 years of related experience, familiarity with Cisco/Juniper equipment, and strong customer service and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Analyze, test, troubleshoot, and evaluate existing network systems (LAN/WAN/Internet) and perform maintenance to keep networks operational with minimal interruption.
• Provide on-site network operations, maintenance, administration, and management for NIPRNet/SIPRNet for the 19 SDS.
• Respond to incidents with rapid restoration actions; maintain 99.7% network availability.
• Configure and install network equipment, establish connections and firewall rules, and document changes.
• Monitor and maintain network performance, availability, utilization, throughput, and latency.
• Adhere to DISA STIGs, DoDM 8140.03 and AFI/AfMAN cybersecurity guidance and doD requirements.

The 19th Space Domain Awareness (SDA) mission is to execute frontline defense of the space domain for the Joint Force, multinational partners, and humanity. Centuria provides non-personal technical services for Network Administration, Cable Management, and Technical Control Facility (TCF) Operations and Maintenance (O&M) services. TCF equipment processes information of varying security classifications and is located within a Sensitive Compartmented Information Facility (SCIF). The SDA mission is truly unique and critical to national security; as such, 19 SDS requires strong continuity of technical personnel. All services are designated as mission essential.

Job Responsibilities:

The ideal candidate will analyze, test, troubleshoot, and evaluate existing network systems, such as local area network (LAN), wide area network (WAN), and Internet systems or a segment of a network system. Perform network maintenance to ensure networks operate correctly with minimal interruption.

Job Duties:

• Perform network operations, maintenance, administration, and provide network management services for Non-Secure Internet Protocol Router Network (NIPRNet) and Secure Internet Protocol Router Network (SIPRNet) for the 19th SDS.
• Provide extended hours (on-call) support for all critical network infrastructure (i.e., electronic mail, file services, internet-related services, and central network services) 24 hours per day, 7 days per week, 365 days per year.
• Respond within 30 minutes and begin restoral actions within two (2) hours of a reported failure; notify the on-site COR if service is not restored within 2 hours for CC situational awareness and reporting requirements
• Maintain network infrastructure availability rate of 99.7%
• Adhere and follow published Gov’t technical guidance and programs:
  • IAW applicable Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA) Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs) and Computer Network Defense (CND)
  • IAW DoDM 8140.03 Cyberspace Workforce Qualification and Management Program
  • IAW AFMAN 17-1301, Chapter 6 Ports, Protocols, and Services Management
  • IAW AFI 17-130 Cybersecurity Program Management
• Monitor and maintain network hardware including Juniper and Cisco routers, switches, and other network equipment (i.e., 802.1X security appliance).
• Monitor and evaluate network performance issues including availability, utilization, throughput, and latency.
• Plan and execute the selection, installation, configuration, and testing of network equipment.
• Establish connections and firewalls, submit firewall exemption rules and other connection documents to the Ports, Protocols and Services Management (PPSM) office.
• Secure networks by developing and implementing network access, monitoring, control, and evaluation systems, and maintaining documentation.
• Conduct fault-isolation, repair hardware and components.
• Load, configure, and install operating systems/firmware.
• Provide all support functions to include installation of new systems and network infrastructure equipment and removal of old systems and relocation of equipment as required by the COR.
• Maintain designated equipment in good working condition, keep up to date on Air/Space Force and DoD network security requirements and implement those controls.
• Establish and maintain NIPR and SIPR REMEDY accounts with the Change Management Role.
• Evaluate network equipment and capabilities and make recommendations to the Government on needed infrastructure upgrades or changes. When considering the addition of new hardware and users, analyze the impact on bandwidth utilization and overall network performance before installing upgrades.
• Perform NIPR and SIPR network cable maintenance, to include installation, testing, troubleshooting, fiber repair/replacement and cable management.
• Install and configure all the cable components (e.g., power, groundings, HVAC, racks, fiber optic distribution panels, equipment, internal cabling, etc.).
• Maintain automated Bogen TPU250 public address system to include configuration.

Job Requirements:

• Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in operations and maintenance, contractor support, or a similar field.
• Familiarity with classified information handling and security management processes.
• Complete annual Government-provided Cyber Awareness training prior to start
• High School degree and equivalent professional experience
• Clearance: U.S. Citizen and TS/SCI or TS/SCI eligible
• Certification: IAT Level II (typically CompTIA Sec+); CCNA
• Strong customer service skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Self-motivated to work on behalf of the customer, the contract and section performance.
• Knowledge of the space surveillance network and satellite catalog is desirable.
