Custom Goods Logistics, a 3PL warehouse operator, seeks a Network System Administrator to support IT infrastructure across multiple facilities, ensuring uptime for WMS/TMS, RF devices, and security systems. The role handles firewalls, switches, Active Directory, and wireless networks, with involvement in facility expansions and customer onboarding while prioritizing security and compliance.
Ideal candidates have 5+ years in network/system administration and relevant certifications
The Network System Administrator plays a critical role in the stability, performance, and security of the IT infrastructure that powers our 3PL warehouse operations. Reporting directly to the Sr. Network Administrator, this position is responsible for supporting a diverse network ecosystem across multiple facilities, ensuring that all business‑critical systems – including Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), Transportation Management Systems (TMS), automation platforms, RF devices, and physical security systems – are operating with minimal downtime, high reliability, and optimal security.
This individual will manage and support all network and system infrastructure components, including firewalls, wireless access points, switches, Windows servers, and Active Directory services, while also contributing to strategic IT projects such as facility expansions, infrastructure upgrades, and customer onboarding. The position requires a hands‑on technologist who can troubleshoot complex connectivity issues, proactively maintain system health, and support operations in real‑time with urgency and precision.
The ideal candidate is a self‑driven, highly organized professional with prior experience in warehouse, logistics, or manufacturing environments. They should possess deep technical knowledge in wired and wireless networking, systems administration, and security best practices — coupled with a practical understanding of warehouse operations and user dependencies on uptime‑sensitive applications. A strong ability to communicate, lead initiatives, document technical processes, and prioritize incident response effectively is essential for success in this role.
As a key member of the IT Infrastructure team, the Network System Administrator will also contribute to process improvement initiatives, help build and maintain network documentation, and support governance practices aligned with internal audit, compliance, and cybersecurity requirements.
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Reasonable accommodation may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
