Netform in Shelby Township, MI is seeking a Netform Operator to run the production cell and ensure parts are produced in statistical control. You will load raw parts, inspect components, monitor process data, and support continuous improvement initiatives.

The ideal candidate will have experience in high-volume manufacturing, the ability to stand for long periods, and the capability to lift up to 50 pounds. Training will follow operator instructions and safety protocols.

Competenze

• Experience in high‑volume automotive manufacturing preferred.
• Ability to operate and adjust machines per operator instructions.
• Prolonged standing and lifting up to 50 lb is required.

Summary

Operates manufacturing cell to produce parts in statistical control by performing the followingduties.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to, the following:

• Loading raw parts into the manufacturing cell.
• Fill coolants and machine lubes.
• Inspection of parts at intervals specified in the operator instructions, with appropriate responses taken when indicated by part measurements .
• Charting of dimensional data and calculation of process capability.
• Complete on-line production and downtime reporting.
• Adjustment of machine processes or changing tools as needed based on dimensional trends on the parts or the tool replacement schedule.
• Perform titrations and concentration adjustment for process coolants, wash solutions, rinse tank, and rust inhibitor.
• Performs machine maintenance per operator instructions, including additional oil and water, and changing filters as needed.
• Observe and listen to machine operation to detect malfunctions, such as abnormal machine cycles, bearing noises, and fracture of workpiece or tools.
• Participate in continuous improvement projects.
• All other duties as assigned.

Qualifications/ Experience/ Education

• Ability to communicate effectively with co-workers.
• Previous high-volume manufacturing /automotive experience preferred.
• Requires prolonged standing, walking, and movement throughout the production facility for approximately 80% of the scheduled shift.
• Must be capable of safely lifting and moving materials, components, and equipment weighing up to 50 pounds.
