Job summary

Mayville Engineering Company, Inc. is seeking an entry-level production operator for the 1st shift at our Hazel Park, MI location. You will operate basic machinery following SOPs, load materials, monitor operations, and perform routine checks to ensure product quality.

You will maintain a clean work area, follow safety guidelines, and assist in troubleshooting machine issues. Prior manufacturing experience is not required, but reliability and teamwork are essential.

Job description

Responsible for operating basic machinery and ensuring efficient production processes under supervision. This role involves following established procedures, maintaining safety standards, and performing routine checks to ensure product quality.

Located onsite @ Hazel Park, MI. 1st Shift - 6 am to 2 pm EST.

Physical & Environmental Requirements

• Some physical demand; often lifts light to heavy-weight material. Frequent lifting/moving average weight (up to 50lbs/11-27 kgs) material.
• Ability to perform occasional to frequent pushing, pulling, bending, kneeling, twisting, crawling and/or reaching over a full work shift (8-12 hours).
• Ability to operate motorized vehicles over a full work shift (8-12 hours).
• Ability to stand and / or walk constantly over a full work shift on concrete (8-12 hours).
• May be exposed to noise levels for which hearing protection is required to be worn over a full work shift (8-12 hours).
