Job summary

Modineer Company is seeking an Operator C for Plant 10 in Niles, MI. The role involves performing general production and assembly tasks using spot welders, robotic weld cells, presses, drills, grinders, stretch benders, and forklifts on the 2nd shift.

The position reports to the Department Supervisor, is non-exempt, and pays base $19.00 with a $3.00 shift premium ($22.00/hr). Typical schedule includes 5 eight-hour shifts or 4 ten-hour shifts, with overtime as needed.

Qualifications

• Experience using small hand-held tools, grinders, sanders, etc. is a plus.
• Must be able to accurately complete all required Modineer production system documentation such as production reports, inspection reports, etc.
• Forklift experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload parts
• Change weld tips, nozzles, and fixtures
• Wear appropriate PPE
• Handle/lift/push/pull up to 40 lbs. on a repetitive basis
• Perform product quality checks in accordance with work instructions

• Make boxes with wooden skids

Job Title : Operator C - General Production @ Plant 10 ( 2121 W. Chicago Rd, Niles, MI 49120)

Reports to: Department Supervisor at specific Business Unit

FLSA Status: Non-exempt

Pay Rate:Base - $19.00 w/shift premium $3.00 equivalent to $22.00/hr.

Schedule: Assigned manufacturing shift. Typically, (5) - 8hr shifts or (4) - 10hr shifts.Overtime as needed.

Summary of duties and responsibilities:

Perform all general production functions involved in the manufacturing and assembly processes of Modineer Company. General production includes, but is not limited to, the operation of spot welders, robotic weld cells, single stroke stamping presses up to 400 tons, drills, grinders, stretch benders, and forklifts as well as other related duties as assigned. Employees must follow standard work instructions and practice safe work habits to ensure production is as efficient and safe as possible.
