Evolver is seeking a skilled DevOps Engineer who has transitioned into network automation development. Based in the San Francisco Bay Area, you will engineer and operate our hybrid on-premises and Microsoft Azure network environment.

The ideal candidate will automate software upgrades, configurations, and validation using Python, Terraform, Azure DevOps pipelines, and AI-assisted tooling. You will collaborate with our network engineers to translate workflows into code and drive adoption of new

Qualifications

8 years of hands-on enterprise DevOps engineering experience.
Experience in a network automation or NetDevOps role.
5 years of production experience with Versa or Cisco SD-WAN, Cisco firewalls (Firepower/FTD), and Cisco wireless.
5 years of production experience delivering infrastructure as code with Terraform, using Git-based pull request and code review workflows.
5 years of experience with Azure networking, including Virtual Networks, ExpressRoute, Virtual WAN, and Azure Firewall.
5 years of Python development, automating network operations via REST APIs on vendor controllers.
Bachelor's degree in CS/IT or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
Cisco Certified DevNet Expert or CCIE Automation (Written and Lab).

Responsibilities

Design and build automation for network upgrades and configuration changes.
Develop and maintain Python and Terraform codebases that provision, validate, and standardize network configurations.
Build and operate CI/CD pipelines in Azure DevOps that test, validate, and deploy network changes.
Leverage AI development tools to generate, refactor, test, and document automation code and runbooks.
Partner with network engineers to translate workflows into automated, code-based processes.
Automate against vendor platforms and APIs such as Cisco Catalyst Center, Nexus Dashboard, vManage, Azure Resource Manager, F5, ThousandEyes, Forward Networks.
Configure, maintain, and troubleshoot Cisco routing, switching, SD-WAN, Firepower/FTD, wireless, and F5 load balancing.
Design and operate Azure networking components delivered through Terraform where possible.
Deploy ThousandEyes agents and tests for end-to-end visibility and integrate results into automation workflows.
Integrate Forward Networks verification into change workflows for pre-change validation and post-change checks.
Serve as tier-2 escalation point for network incidents and drive resolution.
Execute changes through change management and maintain network docs and IPAM.
