Job summary

Vertiv's Electrical Reliability Services (ERS) / High Voltage Maintenance (HVM) seeks a Field Engineer to perform acceptance, commissioning, and maintenance testing on electrical power systems up to 500kV. You will travel regionally and nationally to client sites, delivering high-quality measurements and reports.

The role requires NETA Level III/IV certification, 7+ years HV testing, and the ability to lead teams while ensuring safety and compliance.

Qualifications

• NETA III or IV certification in good standing.
• 7+ years of hands-on electrical testing in medium/high voltage.
• Strong knowledge of NETA MTS/ATS standards and protection schemes.
• Ability to read/interpret electrical diagrams and P&IDs.

Responsibilities

• Perform acceptance, commissioning, and maintenance testing on electrical power systems up to 500kV.
• Conduct power system studies including short circuit, coordination, arc flash, and power quality analysis.
• Test and calibrate protective relays (electromechanical, solid-state, microprocessor-based).
• Interpret results and prepare engineering reports with findings and recommendations.
• Mentor Level I/II technicians and lead multi-discipline project teams.
• Maintain compliance with NETA MTS/ATS, NFPA 70E, and OSHA safety.
• Travel regionally up to 75% for project assignments.
