Job summary

Sunbelt Rentals UK & Ireland is seeking an Environmental Sustainability Manager to lead our Net Zero strategy and deliver environmental programmes across the business. You will collaborate with customers, suppliers and internal teams to reduce emissions and improve sustainability performance.

You will drive carbon reporting, support low-carbon technology adoption, and help shape a Sustainable Supply Chain. A degree in sustainability and strong communication are essential.

Qualifications

• Degree in Sustainability or related field.
• Knowledge and understanding of carbon reporting.
• Ability to work independently on your own initiative.
• Represent the business on customer forums, industry federations.
• Work effectively as part of a wider team.
• Good communication at all levels.
• Methodical problem-solving with attention to detail.
• Comfort using AI and digital tools to improve efficiency, reporting and insight.

Responsibilities

• Support UK & Europe Net Zero Strategy implementation.
• Track and report on metrics to demonstrate progress.
• Support carbon reduction in Transportation & Fleet.
• Support property carbon reduction with Facilities.
• Assist Asset team in low carbon technologies with customers.
• Contribute to Sustainable Supply Chain Strategy.
• Maintain ISO 50001 accreditation & ESOS requirements.
