Job summary

Aquent seeks a mid-level Engineer in Austin to help modernize an internal workflow application. This contract engagement focuses on stabilizing, improving, and extending the core system with .NET, ASP.NET, and SQL expertise.

You will collaborate with product owners and technical teams to evolve a legacy system into a more robust platform, contribute to testing, and assist in deployment readiness while maintaining user-focused UI enhancements.

Qualifications

• Mid-level development experience with C# and .NET Framework (preferably 4.6).
• Strong SQL skills for writing and troubleshooting stored procedures and data logic.
• Experience supporting ASP.NET web applications, data access, and back-end integration.

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and optimize database objects and data logic for the workflow queue application.
• Support modernization of a web application and user-facing workflow functionality.
• Enhance UI for usability and maintainability of internal systems.
• Analyze and troubleshoot existing code and database logic to support modernization goals.
• Collaborate with product owners and tech teams to clarify requirements and milestones.
• Contribute to testing, code reviews, and deployment readiness; document updates as needed.
