Job summary

Ascensus is seeking a Software Engineer to join a high-energy, collaborative team. You will design, develop, and maintain scalable .NET applications using C# and ASP.NET, with responsibilities including modernizing legacy VB6 applications to .NET 4.5+ and creating extensions for content capture systems such as Kofax.

You will work in an agile environment to deliver automated, efficient software, protect sensitive data, and drive ongoing improvements through CI/CD and modern engineering

Qualifications

• 3+ years of professional software development experience.
• Hands-on experience developing and maintaining .NET applications in C# for at least 3 years.
• Experience with Kofax Capture or similar content capture systems preferred.
• Experience modernizing and migrating VB6 or other legacy applications to .NET 4.5+.

Responsibilities

• Protect confidential data and ensure secure handling against unauthorized access.
• Translate requirements into scalable, maintainable software solutions.
• Design, develop, test, and maintain efficient .NET applications.
• Develop extensions for content capture and document processing (Kofax).
• Identify and implement performance, scalability, and reliability improvements.
• Migrate legacy VB6 apps to .NET 4.5+ and modernize systems.
• Develop and consume REST/SOAP web services and integrate with existing apps.
• Collaborate with developers, QA, DevOps, and support teams for deployments.
• Apply CI/CD, automation, and agile practices to releases.
• Leverage AI tools to automate workflows and improve productivity.
• Use Docker/Kubernetes for scalable deployment architectures.
