JDA TSG is seeking an experienced Application and Innovation Customer Engineer (CE) to guide customers in .NET and Java modernization. Remote, United States-based role offering robust architecture guidance, production deployment oversight, and PoC development. Requires solid DevOps, cloud experience, and strong customer-service capabilities.

You will engage with clients, review architectures, and lead sessions to optimize performance and security across on-prem, hybrid, and Azure environments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field, or equivalent experience.
• At least 4+ years in Visual Studio/.NET development in on-prem, hybrid, or Azure environments.
• At least 1 year with Azure DevOps or GitHub.
• 2+ years in customer-facing roles collaborating with stakeholders and teams.
• Proven ability to deploy, operate, and optimize hybrid/cloud apps.

Responsibilities

• Lead sessions and provide SME guidance in .NET, Java, and modernization projects.
• Advise on architecture design and production deployment oversight.
• Perform code reviews, debugging, and performance tuning across platforms.
• Support BizTalk and cloud integration tasks and health checks.
• Assess PoCs, ensure secure DevOps practices, and monitor applications.

Overview

Application and Innovation Customer Engineer (CE)

JDA TSG is seeking a highly experienced .NET and Java Application and Innovation Expert to work as a Customer Engineer (CE). This role provides advisory services in architecture, consulting, and technical support to help customers develop solutions and resolve issues related to .NET Framework and Java application modernization.

What You Will Do

Provides subject matter expertise in guiding customers and leading working sessions in the following areas:

• .NET Development, Code Review, Debugging, Performance Tuning, and Optimization


• Java Application Modernization, Enterprise Application Migration, and Architecture Design


• BizTalk Server Architecture, Administration, and Health Checks


• Azure DevOps Services


• GitHub, GitHub for Developers, and Source Control


• Secure DevOps and Application Security Principles and Practices


• Proof of Concept (PoC) Development


• Production Deployment and Release Oversight


• Technical Assessment and Application Architecture Review

Who You Are

Required / Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field; equivalent certifications or experience may be considered.


• 4+ years of development-related experience using Visual Studio and .NET applications (.NET Framework or .NET Core) in on-premises, hybrid, or Azure production environments.


• 1+ year of experience using Azure DevOps or GitHub.


• 2+ years of customer-facing experience collaborating with stakeholders, management, teams, or developers.


• Proven experience planning, deploying, operating, and optimizing on-premises, hybrid, and/or cloud applications.


• Demonstrated excellent customer service skills.

Preferred / Optional Skills

• Large-scale or N-tier application development.


• Web application, Web Services/API, or microservices development.


• Cloud Platform as a Service (PaaS) and Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS).


• Application development environments and pipeline development.


• Experience with TFS, Azure DevOps, and GitHub, including an understanding of the CI/CD lifecycle.


• Application containerization using Kubernetes or Windows Containers.


• Working knowledge of additional programming languages and frameworks, such as Python, Angular, C++, and Java, in addition to C#.


• Production debugging and troubleshooting.


• Application monitoring using Application Insights or applications running on IIS.


• Knowledge of resilient application architecture and experience building secure, resilient applications.
