Job summary

iHerb is seeking a Software Development Intern to join our agile engineering team and help build enterprise‑grade IoT and warehouse control systems using the .NET stack. You will design, test, and deploy features that scale in high‑volume environments and contribute to robust end‑to‑end testing and production readiness.

You will work closely with senior engineers and product owners to understand requirements, write clean, well‑documented code, and follow secure coding practices.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a degree in CS/CE or related field.
• Fundamental understanding of OOD and SOLID design.
• Experience with backend systems and APIs is a plus.
• Familiarity with databases and data modeling.
• Exposure to testing and Agile development practices.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, test, and deploy IoT features and services using the .NET stack.
• Assist in development of robust integration and end-to-end tests for reliability.
• Implement scalable solutions for high-transaction warehouse environments.
• Write clean, maintainable, well-documented code following standards.
• Participate in peer code reviews and incorporate feedback.
• Assist in writing technical designs and implementation plans.
• Troubleshoot, analyze, and resolve production issues.
• Support and document existing IoT functionality.
• Follow secure programming and web application security practices.
• Collaborate with Product Owners and senior engineers to estimate effort.
• Work with WES, TMS, SAP, and 3PL integrations for smooth interactions.
