Job description

Optomi in partnership with a leader in the logistics and transportation space, is looking for a .Net developer to join their team in Richmond, VA (remote). In this role you will be a part of a highly collaborative environment where software engineers are empowered to own their code, collaborate directly with business stakeholders, and help drive innovation.

Experience of the right candidate :

• Mid-senior level experience with .NET (primarily .NET Framework 4.6)
• Strong hands-on experience with Oracle as the backend (complex stored procedures, etc.)
• Experience working with Azure Event Hub SDK (not API-based integration)
• Proven ability to ramp up quickly in new environments and hit the ground running
• Comfortable navigating legacy codebases and identifying key integration points
• Solid understanding of enterprise application architecture and data mapping
• Exposure to Xamarin mobile development is a plus
• Background in both maintenance and enhancement of business-critical apps
• Experience supporting applications with minimal dedicated QA – robust unit testing expected

Responsibilities of the right candidate :

• Support and enhance a complex .NET / Oracle-based logistics application, including Xamarin-based mobile components
• Help uncover existing data mappings and support integration efforts with new vendors via Event Hub SDK
• Analyze and improve current workflows, contributing to new service development that drives efficiency
• Work closely with business stakeholders during development and UAT; take on partial QA responsibilities
• Participate in architecture discussions, especially as the team shifts direction from legacy systems
• Provide clear, concise communication across a cross-functional team, including offshore developers and business users
• Contribute ideas, offer feedback in team discussions, and maintain a positive, team-oriented attitude
