Job summary

FCG is seeking a Senior GIS Developer to join its product-based technology team. You will develop geospatial web apps using ESRI ArcGIS, ArcObjects, AGOL, and Oracle databases, collaborating with global teams across North America and India.

You should have 6–7 years in GIS web development, strong .NET and SQL skills, and a collaborative, self-motivated mindset. Remote work options may apply due to recent arrangements.

Qualifications

• 6–7 years of experience in developing websites and web mapping apps.
• Proficient with .NET technologies: ASP.NET, ADO.NET, C#, VB.NET, SQL/T-SQL, JavaScript, HTML, XML.
• Experience with AGOL for web apps and custom widgets.
• Strong SQL skills: SQL Server and Oracle, including stored procedures.
• Hands-on with ArcGIS Server, ArcGIS Desktop, ArcGIS Online, and ArcSDE.

Responsibilities

• Define needs with project manager and tailor GIS tech to requirements.

Education
Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Computer Science/ Information Technology/ GIS/ Geoinformatics with overall high academics.
Experience
6- 7 years of experience as a GIS Developer (Senior)
Job Requirements

• 6 to 7 years experience in developing websites, custom web mapping applications using
• Net, ESRI Arc GIS, Arc Objects, Arc GIS Server side programming, ArcGIS Java script API
• Proven experience with Microsoft .NET technologies including, ASP.NET, ADO.NET Languages: C#, VB.Net, SQL/T-SQL, JavaScript/DHTML, VBScript, HTML, XML, Open source as well as Google Map API
• Experience in web mapping application development using AGOL (ArcGIS Online) – Web app builder and custom web app templates & custom widgets, ArcGIS Silverlight API, JavaScript API, ArcGIS Python script
• Experience in SQL Server 2005/2008/2012, ORACLE 11g,12C including schema design and writing complex SQL, stored procedures, and views etc.
• Experience in working with ArcSDE geo database platform
• Experience in developing websites using Telerik’s R.A.D. Editor would be preferred
• Some experience with front end UI (User Interface) design
• Write Oracle geospatial SQL procedures to find intersections between layers and
• generate new geospatial data points marking the intersections using only SQL.
• Complete understanding of Oracle SDO_GEOMETRY and related data types.
• Knowledge of ESRI ArcGIS Server published map services, ESRI ArcGIS Desktop, Queries, Joins, Map file configuration

• Working with Project Manager to define needs and applying / customizing existing technology to meet those needs
• Working on GIS (Geographic Information System) product Development
• The candidate should be flexible, highly adaptable, and excellent team player.
• The candidate should expect to work in a global virtual team spread across North America and India team members, sometimes across multiple time zones.
• The candidate may be assigned to more than one role or project at a time
• Our ideal candidate will be a self-motivated team player committed to delivering on time and should be able to work with minimal supervision.
