Job summary

Infosys in the United States is seeking an Engineering Consultant 2 focused on embedded systems and software architecture. You will elicit requirements, contribute to design and validation, and drive cross-functional collaboration across engineering teams to deliver robust embedded solutions.

The role requires hands-on work with Embedded/Linux, C# development, and cloud integrations, with opportunities to lead design discussions and coordinate onsite/offshore teams.

Qualifications

• Experience in Embedded/Linux app development using C#.
• Experience in application design and architecture skills.
• Experience integrating embedded applications with Cloud systems.
• Experience leading cross functional team discussions to drive software design.
• Experience in FW and hardware integration. E2E system testing experience.
• Knowledge of C/C++ for FW integration is a plus.
• Hands-on with embedded Linux (Yocto) including system integration.
• Experience debugging complex systems with firmware and Linux apps.
• Exposure to IEC 62304 and medical domain projects preferred.
• Experience in Medical domain projects and onsite/offshore coordination.

Responsibilities

• Elicit and document business and technical requirements into actionable specs.
• Participate in design meetings and create initial design concepts and sketches.

• Develop and refine solution specs and perform validation activities including simulations.

In the assigned Job Role of Engineering Consultant 2, your Area Of Responsibility will be as below:

• Elicit and document business and technical requirements, translating them into actionable specifications for the team
• Participate in design meetings, create initial design concepts, and support the development of design sketches and models using established engineering tools and techniques
• Participate in iterative engineering design cycles, refine prototypes, and coordinate with teams to implement feedback effectively
• Develop and refine solution specifications and perform validation activities, including simulations, to ensure that engineering solutions meet design specifications and criteria
• Build and refine prototypes, incorporating testing results and feedback received from cross-functional team, to enhance functionality
• Undertake technical integration efforts, ensure system functionality, identify and resolve interoperability issues
• Develop and maintain comprehensive technical documentation and assist in organizing knowledge-sharing sessions among team members

• Experience in debugging complex systems involving firmware + Linux applications, including fault handling and diagnostics.
• Exposure to medical standards (e.g., IEC 62304) preferred
• Experience in Medical domain projects
• Experience leading team, onsite offshore coordination.
• Ability to understand complex code form existing system to drive design for new system.
• Experience in FW and hardware integration.
• Experience integrating embedded applications with Cloud systems
