Job summary

Aquent partners with a leading financial services firm to transform customer journeys through digital solutions. We seek an experienced backend engineer to drive REST APIs, cloud-native architectures, and AI-enabled development.

You will lead technical delivery across defined journeys, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and push rapid iterations in a fast-paced environment. Proficiency in C#, .NET, REST, Angular/React, and cloud platforms is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related discipline.
• 8–10 years backend development experience in C#/.Net.
• Strong experience with .NET, .NET Core, Spring, Hibernate, and UML.
• Experience in REST-based Web Service APIs in transaction processing environments.
• Experience in Cloud Native Applications and Micro Services Architecture.
• Experience with Google Cloud Platform and enterprise-scale web solutions (Angular/React, Web API, SQL/No-SQL).
• Proficiency in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, TypeScript, jQuery, Backbone, Bootstrap.
• Knowledge of AI technologies for accelerating software development (e.g., GitHub Copilot).
• Solid understanding of SOLID, Agile methodologies, and design patterns.
• Strong communication and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Must‑Have Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related discipline.
• Minimum of 8-10 years of solid backend development experience in C#/.Net.
• Strong experience with frameworks such as .NET, .NET Core, Spring, Hibernate, and a solid understanding of UML (Unified Modeling Language).
• Strong experience in object‑oriented design, SOA, design patterns, development, implementation, and maintenance.
• Strong experience designing and implementing REST‑based Web Service API(s) in a transaction processing environment.
• Experience in Cloud Native Applications and Micro Services Architecture.
• Experience with Google Cloud Platform and in building enterprise‑scale web solutions based upon n‑tier architecture using open‑source technologies (Angular / React), Microsoft Web API, and SQL / No‑SQL Databases.
• Proficiency in web‑based technologies such as Angular/React, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Typescript, jQuery, Backbone, Bootstrap, Node, or similar.
• Knowledge and experience with AI technologies for accelerating software development and testing cycles, including tools like Github Copilot, and creating Agentic AI frameworks and solutions.
• Good understanding of the latest Architecture and Development Standards, Guidelines, and SOLID principles.
• Thorough understanding of Agile software development methodologies, values, and procedures.
• Self‑motivated, quick learner who can manage multiple projects with minimal direction.
• Ability to analyze, propose, and implement timely, cost‑effective, quality solutions for all issues or problems within the area of responsibility.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Nice-to-Have Qualifications

• Experience with distributed multi-tier applications, WMI, No‑SQL databases, and SQL.
• Proven ability to independently plan own work and meet schedules and deliverables.
• Proficient in managing multiple priorities effectively.
• Demonstrated ability to compose and deliver technical presentations or other forms of documentation to various levels of technical and non‑technical management.
