Job description

Our client is looking for a driven, results-oriented Software Applications Engineer who shares our passion for technology, innovation, and quality. Their main goal is to transform people’s lives by changing the way the world invests. The engineer will participate in the design and implementation of web applications using advanced development patterns, component-based architecture, and cutting-edge web technologies, focusing on improving the customer journey for our clients. The journey model is insights-driven and emphasizes rapid iterations to foster innovation and transformation.

The engineer will actively collaborate with the team in ongoing product development, including design, development, review, integration, testing, and deployment activities. The engineer must be self-directed and capable of working with an extended, remote team to deliver products in a timely manner. Comfort in a fast-paced development environment that continually adopts the latest technologies and techniques is essential. Knowledge of Agile/Scrum development, experience with IDEs such as Visual Studio, and strong interpersonal, analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills are required. Excellent verbal and written communication skills are also necessary.

Experience:
  1. 10+ years of full-stack application development experience, including mentoring or assisting junior developers.
  2. Proven experience developing and implementing web-enabled applications using:
  3. Front End Technologies/Concepts: ASP.NET, Angular and/or AngularJS, JSON/XML, Sync/Async services.
  4. Back End Technologies/Concepts: .NET, .NET Core, C#, RESTful API design, Micro-Services, Event-driven architectures.
  5. Database Technologies/Concepts: Relational databases (SQL/Oracle). Environment includes distributed monolithic and cloud-based microservices (Private Cloud/Pivotal Cloud Foundry preferred).
  6. Solid understanding of web application environments, development tools, event-driven development, session management, deployment strategies, security, performance tuning, and debugging.
  7. Experience with CI/CD, unit testing, API test automation, and automated deployment pipelines.
  8. Experience with Atlassian tools such as JIRA, Confluence, BitBucket, Bamboo is strongly preferred.
  9. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  10. Effective time management, prioritization, and multi-tasking skills.
  11. Passion for problem solving, quick learning, and interaction with technical and business teams.
  12. Ability to work independently and in leadership roles within a team.
  13. Self-motivated team player, capable of collaboration across organizations and locations.
  14. Bachelor’s or higher degree in computer science or related field.
Compensation:

The target hiring range is $60.90 to $67.67 per hour, based on education, experience, certifications, and location.
