In Apple Services Engineering (ASE), you will develop and operate foundational systems for these services, with opportunities to work on infrastructure components like Terraform, Pulumi, code generation, and backend services. Description

Lead the development of Apple’s next-gen cloud platform, focusing on hybrid cloud management with tools like Terraform, Pulumi, Kubernetes, and Spinnaker. Work closely with internal teams to understand their needs, delivering innovative solutions from conception to deployment. Your role involves owning critical infrastructure components, integrating open-source tools within Apple’s ecosystem, and ensuring high-performance, resilient distributed systems.

Minimum Qualifications

• 5+ years in building enterprise platforms for managing large-scale cloud resources
• 5+ years experience with Go programming language
• 5+ years experience with at least one modern language (Swift, TypeScript, or Python)
• Proven ability to write reliable, high-quality code with testing and documentation
• BSc, MSc, or PhD in Computer Science or equivalent experience

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Terraform or Pulumi
• Deep understanding of cloud infrastructure provisioning, security, and cost management (AWS, GCP, Azure)
• Knowledge of HTTP, DNS, RPC frameworks, databases, and OS
• Experience designing systems with self-service and self-healing capabilities
• Willingness to learn additional modern programming languages

Pay & Benefits
