Job summary

Growe seeks an experienced backend developer to design, build, and maintain scalable .NET (C#) services. You will evolve microservices in production, support existing features, and ensure backward compatibility across releases.

You’ll own core flows like accounts, authentication, and wallet, and collaborate on task analysis, testing, and integration patterns. Ideal candidates bring 5+ years in backend development with C#/.NET 6+, strong microservices experience, and familiarity with AWS,

Qualifications

• 5+ years of commercial backend development in C#/.NET (6+), ASP.NET Core.
• Solid understanding of microservices architecture and distributed systems.
• Experience with asynchronous communication and event-driven architectures.
• Experience with message brokers (Kafka or similar).
• Strong knowledge of relational databases (SQL, transactions, indexing, performance tuning; PostgreSQL a plus).
• Experience with ORM tools (Entity Framework).
• Experience writing Unit and Integration tests.
• Understanding of authentication/authorization (OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect).
• Good software design principles (SOLID, separation of concerns, testability).
• Observability/monitoring in production systems.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain backend services using .NET (C#).
• Develop and evolve microservices in a production environment.
• Support existing functionality and ensure backward compatibility of releases.
• Work on core domain flows like accounts, registration, authentication, and wallet.
• Participate in task analysis, decomposition, and effort estimation.
• Deliver tasks for testing and collaborate with QA during test phases.
• Build integrations using asynchronous communication and event-driven patterns.
• Work with relational databases and optimize query performance.
• Identify performance bottlenecks and contribute to system design improvements.
• Contribute to service observability (logs, metrics, traces, dashboards).
• Manage deployment configurations and manifests in Kubernetes environments.
• Work in a GitOps setup and participate in deployment/operational ownership.
• Collaborate with DevOps on Terraform workflows; participate in on-call rotations.
• Identify technical debt and propose improvements.
• Perform high-quality code reviews focusing on maintainability and performance.

Experience you’ll need to bring:

• 5+ years of commercial backend development experience with C# / .NET (6+), .NET Core / ASP.NET Core;

Experience with asynchronous communication and event‑driven architectures;

Experience with message brokers (Kafka or similar);

Strong knowledge of relational databases (SQL, transactions, indexing, performance tuning), PostgreSQL will be a plus;

Experience with ORM tools (e.g., Entity Framework);

Experience writing Unit and Integration tests;

Understanding of authentication and authorization (OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect);

Experience troubleshooting performance and memory issues;
