Job summary

QUANTUM TECHNOLOGIES LLC is seeking a Back End Software Engineer to build information systems that support rapid growth and a seamless customer experience. You will be part of the core services team owning backend orchestration of the customer journey from Order to Ownership.

The role emphasizes designing, developing, and supporting backend services, with a focus on scalability, performance, and reliability in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Experience writing code in object-oriented languages.
• Experience with microservices, or service-oriented architecture.
• Experience with databases (SQL or NoSQL).
• Good unit testing and integration testing practices.
• Experience with message queue architecture.
• Experience with MySQL and PostgreSQL.
• Knowledge of open-source technologies such as Kafka, Debezium, Elasticsearch.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and support applications and systems within the team’s scope, including order processing and ownership experiences.
• Be flexible and quick to respond to changing priorities and requirements.
• Own feature development from design to production release.
• Write clean, tested code and unit/integration tests in collaboration with QA.
• Monitor live systems, troubleshoot production issues, and propose improvements.
• Communicate changes in estimates, dependencies, and blockers to stakeholders.
• Improve scalability, maintainability, availability, and visibility of applications.

• Our direct client is searching for a Back End Software Engineerwith experience in backend development, who will be responsible for building information systems to support rapid growth while providing a seamless and intuitive customer experience. Candidate will be part of the core services team, which owns backend orchestration of both the customer journey from Order, Purchase, Delivery/Installation, and Ownership.
• The ideal candidate is flexible, motivated, and a self-starter with a strong desire to improve efficiency, scalability, and make an impact with contributions to a cross-functional team. This is a fast-paced, highly rewarding opportunity to make a direct impact on the mission of the organization.

Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and support applications and systems under the team’s scope, including Vehicle and Energy order processing, Product Installation and Ownership experience, and features accessible through mobile app, etc.
• Be flexible and quick to respond to changing business priorities and requirements.
• Own feature development and projects through design, development, testing, release, and production.
• Write clean, maintainable, performant, and well-tested code to implement new features and fix bugs. Write unit tests, integration tests, and work with QA to coordinate timely regression for new features.
• Monitor live system metrics, respond to alerts, and troubleshoot production issues. Investigate and understand existing system technical functionality and propose technical improvements.
• Communicate changes in project estimates, dependencies, and blockers with affected stakeholders quickly.
• Understand and improve the scalability, maintainability, availability, and visibility of applications.
