Job summary

ETHEREUM TECHNOLOGIES LLC in Fremont is seeking a Back End Software Engineer with experience in backend development to build information systems supporting rapid growth and a seamless customer experience.

You will join the core services team responsible for backend orchestration of the customer journey from Order to Ownership, and you will design, develop, test, and maintain robust services while staying adaptable to evolving business priorities.

Qualifications

• Experience writing code in object-oriented languages.
• Experience with microservices, or service-oriented architecture.
• Experience with databases (either SQL or NoSQL).
• Good unit testing and integration testing practices.
• Experience with message queue architecture.
• Experience with MySQL and PostgreSQL.
• Experience or Knowledge on open-source technologies such as Kafka, Debezium, Elasticsearch, etc.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and support applications and systems under the team’s scope, including Vehicle and Energy order processing, Product Installation and Ownership experience, and features accessible through mobile app, etc.
• Be flexible and quick to respond to changing business priorities and requirements.
• Own feature development and projects through design, development, testing, release, and production.
• Write clean, maintainable, performant, and well-tested code to implement new features and fix bugs. Write unit tests, integration tests, and work with QA to coordinate timely regression for new features.
• Monitor live system metrics, respond to alerts, and troubleshoot production issues. Investigate and understand existing system technical functionality and propose technical improvements.
• Communicate changes in project estimates, dependencies, and blockers with affected stakeholders quickly.
• Understand and improve the scalability, maintainability, availability, and visibility of applications.

Candidate will be part of the core services team, which owns backend orchestration of both the customer journey from Order, Purchase, Delivery/Installation, and Ownership.
