Job summary

ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE TECHNOLOGIES LLC seeks a senior cloud engineer with deep Azure expertise to design and deploy enterprise cloud apps and microservices. You will implement APIs, ensure security across services, and drive DevOps practices in a fast-moving team.

The role emphasizes API design, OpenAI/GenAI alignment, and scalable architectures with AKS, data stores, and monitoring. On-site in Virginia Beach preferred.

Qualifications

• Extensive hands-on Azure cloud and distributed systems experience.
• Azure API Management, AKS, containerized deployment, and microservice orchestration.
• Experience designing enterprise cloud apps and API endpoints.
• Security: IAM, OAuth2/OIDC, SAML, JWT; MFA and RBAC.
• CI/CD, IaC, and cloud deployment best practices.

Responsibilities

• Lead design and implementation of cloud-native microservices.
• Develop and document APIs using OpenAPI/Swagger.
• Secure REST APIs and manage identity/access controls.
• Implement CI/CD pipelines and IaC for cloud deployments.
• Monitor, log, and optimize performance with Azure tooling.

Job description

Core Experience:

• 10+ years of combined hands-on experience in Azure Cloud, distributed systems, and Microservices architecture.
• Strong background designing, developing, deploying, and optimizing enterprise-grade cloud applications.

Azure & Cloud Expertise:

• Extensive experience with Azure API Management (APIM), Azure Application Insights, Azure Function Apps, and Azure API Gateway.
• Hands-on expertise with Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS), containerized deployment, scaling, and microservice orchestration.
• Proficient in Azure cloud services including Azure Data Factory, Azure Storage, Azure SQL / SQL Server, and NoSQL stores.

AI & GenAI (Mandatory Azure AI Foundry):

Practical experience with Azure AI Foundry, including:

• RAG Pipelines
• LLMs / GenAI solutions
• Vector stores and AI orchestration
• Azure OpenAI and Azure AI Search
• Microservices & API Engineering:
• 5+ years of experience designing and implementing Microservices.
• Expertise in API development and documentation using Swagger / OpenAPI / SwaggerHub.
• Solid understanding of dependency management, build systems, and backend performance optimization.

Identity & Security:

• 4+ years of experience integrating SSO with REST APIs using major IAM providers.
• Deep knowledge of modern authentication and authorization standards:
• OAuth2 / OIDC, SAML,JWT Token flows
• Experience securing cloud-native microservices and distributed systems.
• MFA, RBAC

Data Technologies:

• Strong hands-on experience with relational, graph, and unstructured data:
• SQL Server, Azure SQL, Cosmos DB, Storage Tables, Blob storage.

DevOps & CI/CD:

• Solid understanding of Azure DevOps pipelines, Git repositories, release strategies, IaC, and cloud deployment practices.
• Experience with Azure Code Commit, automated testing, and monitoring.
• Monitoring & Analytics:
• Working knowledge of analytics and observability tools:
• Dynatrace, Firebase, Google Analytics, App Insights, Azure Monitor.

Certifications (Preferred):

Azure certifications such as:

• Azure Solutions Architect
• Azure DevOps Engineer
• Azure Developer Associate
