Job summary

Valiant Technologies LLC is seeking a senior .NET/SQL developer to maintain and build data extraction packages and complex applications such as Budget System. The role requires strong VB.NET skills, extensive SQL Server experience, and proficiency with SSIS and disaster recovery planning.

The candidate will mentor state employees on best practices and contribute to infrastructure diagrams and specifications while delivering reliable Windows services.

Qualifications

• BS degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or equivalent.
• Minimum of eight years of experience in each listed item.
• Strong VB.Net coding experience and ability to review VB.Net code.
• Extensive SQL Server installation, maintenance and optimization.
• Experience with SSIS data import/export workflows.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and develop packages to extract data elements into constructed data layouts.
• Maintain and support Budget System applications.
• Assist state employees with .Net solutions and mentor on best practices.
• Design and test disaster recovery plans and incident response procedures.
• Develop and maintain Windows services and background processes.
• Create and review detailed technical infrastructure diagrams and specifications.

Work Authorization:

• Minimum of six (8) years of each item below:
• Maintain and develop packages to extract data elements into constructed data layouts.
• Maintain complicated applications supported by Applications Development: Budget System.
• Assist state employees with .Net solutions and mentors on best practices
• Minimum of six (6) years of SQL Server installation, maintenance, and optimization experience
• Good knowledge of MSDTC
• Experience with design and maintenance of TDE Encryption
• Experience using integration services or SSIS packages to import and export data to/from SQL
• Experience developing window services
• Experience designing and testing disaster recovery plans
• Ability to write and review VB.Net code
• Strong oral and written communication skills
• Experience developing detailed technical infrastructure diagrams and specifications
• Education requirement of a BS degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or other equivalent education.
