Job summary

CMC is seeking a Nester/Drafter to create and maintain template drawings, generate optimized nesting layouts, and support plasma cutting operations across our fabrication facilities. You will serve as a critical link between engineering drawings, inventory, and production.

The ideal candidate has 2+ years drafting experience, proficiency with RADAN or CAD software, and the ability to read customer drawings and specs while coordinating with multiple teams to meet production deadlines.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 2+ years drafting, nesting, CAD in manufacturing.
• Experience with RADAN or CAD software preferred.

Responsibilities

• Create template and component drawings using RADAN.
• Interpret drawings to develop production-ready files.
• Review designs for manufacturability and feasibility.
• Create nesting layouts to maximize material use.
• Generate burn sheets, machine files and production documentation.
